It took me more than two weeks to finish this book. Between its stories of work and of people, I often paused, letting days pass before I could return, slowly, to its pages until, at last, I reached the end.

Closing the book, I found myself holding a swirl of emotions: moments that made me laugh and moments that made me cry, a piercing ache of pain, and above all, a truth so raw, so real -something I had never glimpsed, even after weeks and months of working alongside her.

In that moment, I thought of her profound sincerity, her unyielding courage, and I came to know more deeply my sister, my friend: Zennie Trang Nguyễn.

This is an honest book. A book worth reading.

In a world awash with information where everyone hurries to be faster, stronger, eager to cast themselves into the vast ocean, this book offers a rare invitation: to pause. To slow down and step into a dialogue about people, about profession, within the delicacy of Beyond the Ocean’s Call. In the quiet intervals of Zennie Trang Nguyễn’s writings, you may begin to hear the stirrings of your own inner dialogue.

So I invite you: be open. Let these pages speak to you of courage—the courage to face limits and trials, the courage to reveal oneself, the courage to choose the meaning of life: to live, to work, and to give oneself fully to what one has chosen.

From these pages, I received a gift - an encouragement for my own journey. I hope you, too, will find your own meaningful discovery in the reading of Zennie’s book.
