As this book comes to a close, the ‘pages of life’ continue - grounded in calm and purpose - enabling Trang to create ever greater value. For those around her, for the next generation stepping into marketing, communications, and brand building, and above all, for herself.

As the book moves through short chapters recounting different stages and episodes of her professional journey, the nicknames she assigns to characters feel like lively sketches - reminding me of the whimsical naming in Harry Potter, and at times the playful dialogues in Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

In that moment, I thought of her profound sincerity, her unyielding courage, and I came to know more deeply my sister, my friend: Zennie Trang Nguyễn.

For me, that period of “sowing hopes in a land not our own,” with all its trials and fumbling, was both the necessary and sufficient condition for -trg to later reap success after “bidding farewell to the small river,” letting go completely of the “American dream,” and daring to move forward.

The book itself is formidable: over four hundred pages devoted to the craft, like a river in full flood—immense in energy, sweeping aside the pebbles of superficiality, cutting through the blemishes of the industry, surging ever onward with determination and vision.

After finishing your book, I truly felt “healed,” even though it isn’t a self-help book or a collection of essays. Your 20-year journey in the industry is deeply admirable and has inspired me so much.

Each of Trang’s small stories carries a wealth of wisdom, helping those in the field of Communications and Brand Marketing to structure their thinking and to listen more deeply to the lessons drawn from real-life experience.

She tells stories of life and of work. A young woman majoring in Communications, who earned her Master of Arts degree in the land of the Stars and Stripes, chose to return home and ignite the flame in the next generations.

For those of us who belong to the same generation as Trang, these notes are like a Moonlight Sonata, illuminating, awakening emotions long covered by the dust of time. To be honest, I even managed to connect a few bright sparks for my current work through the well-practiced stories this book contains.

She writes about her life, tells the story of her work, and captures moments that, in many ways, felt as if she were also writing for me at those crossroads of choice and boundary: to “overcome and grow” or to “compromise for safety” on my own river.

Today, as I read a few chapters of your manuscript “Beyond The Ocean'Call,” I finally understand the path you chose. Your reflections on your career are truly valuable for young professionals, and the hardships you endured will serve as a source of strength and encouragement for them.
